Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting and purification, comes to a conclusion on Eid-ul-Fitr, often spelled Eid-al-Fitr. Eid-ul-Fitr,
which means "holiday of breaking the fast" in Arabic, is recognised as the appropriate time for formal visits to family and friends
because of its religious significance. People are dressed freshly, and joy permeates the entire environment. Lesser Eid is another
name for it, and it is best used for charitable giving, special prayers, etc. After ending a fast of 29 to 30 days, known as roze,
it is celebrated. Religious authorities from many nations base the timing of the festival on the observation of the Eid crescent moon.
As a result, various nations may commemorate it on different days.
Thrissur Pooram,Kerala
The Thrissur Pooram, a splendid celebration marked by a huge display of caparisoned elephants, sparkling parasols,
and percussion music, is a stunning show fusing Kerala's spiritual and cultural essence. Thekkinkadu Maidanam in Thrissur
hosts the Pooram, which is observed in the Malayalam month of Medam April. The event is distinguished by the Kudamattom Ritual
and features an entertaining line-up of vibrantly decorated elephants. The Kudamattom ritual, which involves the quick and rhythmic
switching of colourful and sequined parasols, is one of the highlights and is a well-observed event. To offer prayers to Lord Shiva,
people come from all across Kerala to this event. On this day, a sizable parade complete with music and prayers is organised.
Buddha Purnima
To honour the birth of Siddhartha Gautama, also known as Gautam Buddha, who eventually became the founder of Buddhism,
the festival of Buddha Purnima is observed. Another name for Buddha Jayanti or Buddha Purnima is Vaisakha or Vesak.
Many locations around the nation, notably Sarnath and Bodhgaya, where there is a sizable Buddhist community, commemorate
Buddha Purnima with tremendous fervour. Major Buddhist regions like Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and Sikkim are celebrating widely.
According to legend, Buddha obtained salvation and enlightenment on the same day of the year. This day has a very high importance
in Buddhism because of the unprecedented three-fold coincidence.
Lumbini Festival,Andhra Pradesh
Every year, the Lumbini Festival is held in Andhra Pradesh to commemorate the state's rich Buddhist heritage.

Festival every year for three days to highlight the region's Buddhist influence.

practised religion. Every year, a holiday is held to honour Buddhism and recognise its importance.
